I went to the Manhattan Village shopping mall by work today to help a co-worker pick out a gift for his girlfriend. First of all I have to mention that this is the smallest (and most random) mall ever. There is a Macy’s, Sephora, Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, GAP and Apple store and then a handful of smaller stores and that’s it. So if you’re in the need of a hostess gift or some eye shadow, it’s the perfect place to go. I guess it makes sense being where it is — the perfect pitstop for after work if you have a last-minute dinner party to prepare for.
So anyways we were at Macy’s and Sephora on the hunt for the “right” makeup brush set for his GF. The only brands worth getting at Macy’s was Chanel (too over-priced) and Laura Mercier who was out of the brush-only sets. They did, however, have the Eye Design kit in stock. Remembering this was on my wish list, I asked to check it out.
The Laura Mercier Eye Design
kit has 2 creme eyeliners and one eye shadow (all in shades of black) and 4 double-ended eye brushes. To finish off, it includes a mascara and eyelash curler and comes in a nifty travel bag. More importantly, it also includes a how-to booklet with a couple of different eye looks. At $75 (originally $150) this kit is a steal. It’s the perfect kit to buy if you are in need of some new eye brushes or other eye basics. You can’t go wrong with a perfectly lined eye.

Oh hey, that’s cheap. I don’t think I can get it in my area, though.

I usually don’t love kits, but I am def going to pick this up while I am doing my holiday shopping.
