It is the middle of autumn (arguably winter already, with this gloom) and I am on the hunt for white tank tops. White tanks are the hardest to find… just slightly the wrong shape and they can make your bust look big (not in a good way) or your waist bloated. They’re my favorite underlayer for cardigans yet I only one one that I deem worthy for “outside wear” — a beat-up C&C California crochet-back tank. So now it’s time to find a few more, hopefully before I leave for the tropics on Friday!
I am loving the selection by Cheap Monday on Tobi.com. The first two (summer tank and moa tank) are on sale for $18 and the sweetheart amelie tank is $35. Each one adds a little bit of flair to the plain white tee — a draped chiffon wrapped around the body, loose big pocket or the zip-down sweetheart neckline. White tanks are the easiest things to throw on while on vacation… over a bikini or with denim shorts on the beach or with some skinny jeans and cute heels for dinner. Oooh I can’t wait to pack and come up with some vacation outfits. Stay posted.

Sweet. I love the zip-down sweetheart neckline. So sexy. But you are right, such things remind us that fashion is also, alongside a way of life, the basic!

I like the one in the middle but the slightly big armpit opening kinda worries me…
