So it’s been several months since I’ve made the switch to reusable water bottles. (Well, I still buy the occasional 10 for $10 Smart Water at the grocery store) I alternate between my SIGG and KOR One bottles to try and figure out which one I like best. It’s funny but I think I’ve come to the conclusion that I need both.
SIGG is the cheaper of the two, at $25 at Lululemon or even cheaper when you buy a generic version at a sports store. (The KOR was $29.95 plus shipping) But, possibly the cheaper quality as well as the yellow plastic-y lining on the inside tore within the first week. I had to tear it off completely in the first ring so I don’t cut my lip!
The SIGG is great for refreshingly cold water — the bottle keeps the water cold. The KOR is better for hot drinks as the plastic doesn’t turn hot when you pour hot liquid in, like the SIGG does. And no, I’m not toting hot coffee in it or anything, I brewed some tea the other day to put in the fridge to have cold green tea for a long car ride. =)
The KOR is always better for non-water drinks. I mixed a pomegranate blueberry plus supergreen powder supplement in my SIGG once and couldn’t wash out the taste. My water tasted slightly of wheat grass and spirulina for a week.
Both are easy to tote, although the KOR is easier to open and drink with one hand. Oh, and word of warning for the SIGG, make sure you twist that cap evenly before you shake it. One of my favorite Theory dress shirts got a huge splash of that wonderful mixed pomegranate juice.

Have you ever put your Sigg in the dishwasher? I got one for about $18, and stuck it in the dishwasher and its ruined by water marks. They won’t come off. I’m so annoyed. I got a regular plastic BPA one for 5 bucks to make up for it, so I think I’ll stick with those, even though the Sigg designs are cute and it keeps water colder.
I also dented my Sigg!
Urgh, annoyed with Sigg now

The KORR looks good, but the quality is not. So, I go for SIGG.

I love my KOR water bottle. I have the pink one and I always get compliments at the gym, class, when I’m out and about…and I don’t mind the price being a little higher since some of the proceeds go to a charity corresponding to the color you choose.
