Sometimes life gives you lemons…

Oh, June was not my month. A few weeks ago, Lulu was diagnosed with cancer: an aggressive mast cell tumor taking shape on her muzzle and spreading to a couple of her lymph nodes. This type of tumor is (a) not common to cocker spaniels, (b) not common in young(er) dogs (Lulu is 6) and (c) not commonly found on the nose. So, in this particular case, it sucks to be unique.

I just wanted to apologize for my recent sporadic posting on this blog… it’s been hard to keep a routine eye and interest on fashion when my emotions are constantly up and down as Lulu undergoes cancer treatment. I’ve started a diary to keep track of Lulu’s progress in efforts to keep all of my cancer talk in one place: Lulu’s Cancer Blog. Meanwhile I will still be here, around and posting but just wanted to thank everyone for their patience as I try to catch up!

I am very, very sorry to hear such sad news. I really can’t imagine what you and your family must be going through. All the best to you and your family in this difficult moment and I really hope that Lulu will recover as soon as possible.
